About the author
William Musgrave has spent more than twenty years building and running enterprise software and the organizations that deliver it. He has worked as an Ernst & Young technical consultant, in engineering and application leadership at EMC through its acquisition by Dell, in operational excellence during the pandemic surge in protective-equipment demand, and as a software engineering manager at an investment firm. His work has sat where technology meets the business: platform modernization, data governance, service management, DevSecOps and delivery teams working across time zones.
That work shaped the Auctaine series. He has seen what happens when an organization adopts a powerful technology without deciding who is accountable for it, what it is allowed to do, or how anyone will know whether it paid. Bounded Authority, The Standard & Framework and The Delivery Playbook are his account of how an enterprise can govern AI as an operating model rather than a portfolio of projects. He is a practitioner, not a lawyer. His books state what the law requires as at a dated point, cite the source, and leave legal advice to counsel. He holds certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT, Scrum and Lean Six Sigma, along with Microsoft's Azure and Azure AI credentials. He studied finance and economics at Northeastern University and is principal of Musgrave & Associates in Greater Boston.
